A note from the Founder, Rochelle.

“Developed out of necessity, I founded Pearlesque Box to break through the heavily saturated market of harsh chemicals and introduce all natural and non-toxic skincare lines. As someone that suffers from psoriasis, I was unable to use most skincare products sold in America because of the harmful ingredients. Since then, my travels opened my eyes to new and ancient natural ingredients used every day around the world. As a result, Pearlesque Box was created to share my findings with others in search of all natural products. ~Rochelle Truxal, CEO/Founder”

Overall Thoughts:

I purchased the December box with my own money. I have been dying to try the SkinOwl Maqui Berry drops, ever since hearing everyone rave about it from the Beauty Heroes box- but I couldn’t afford signing up for that subscription box at the time. So when I saw Danielle, (from @crueltyfreeveganbeauty) post about this box  featuring Skinowl + a coupon code, I immediately checked it out!

I love the idea that the boxes are curated from around the world, so each box has a theme almost – how fun is that?! Each box also includes products that work together for better results/benefits. I also really appreciate the opportunity to try different products at a more affordable price – because let’s be real – clean beauty (any beauty for that matter) can be quite $$$ at times. It also comes with detailed cards about the brands/products to learn more.

I can’t always use certain products from subscription boxes due to certain ingredient sensitivities and my health. The fact I can sign up for month-to-month and cancel (or put on hold) at anytime was a huge pro for me, and my wallet thanks me, too. 😉 Oh! You also have the opportunity to see that months box and still order it (if still available).

The only thing I was a bit disappointed with was the packaging of the box (the actual product packaging is nice though). Packaging is quite an important factor to me when purchasing products etc. Partially I think, because, I am investing so much money into cleaner, non-toxic beauty so…yes I definitely want the packaging to be nice. I just felt like it wasn’t anything real “impressive” so to speak. There was just some off white packaging paper in the bottom of the box and then the glass bottle was in bubble wrap and then the other product was just kinda sliding in the paper. So I wasn’t super impressed with the presentation. I was looking on the website and noticed pictures of the previous boxes appeared to be presented really nicely – so not sure what happened with mine, maybe they just ran out of the different packaging. But honestly, that’s my only real “disappointment”.

I would sign up or the box again, if another box intrigued me or I had been wanting to try the products featured. I will be posting about the featured items more on my IG (p.s.byhannahmarie) as this is more dedicated to the actual subscription box – BUT I just have to say that I love Skinowl Maqui Berry PM Drops & they smell amazing.
